Data collection in the zoo setting, emphasizing behavior

We provide an overview of techniques sufficient to allow an inexperienced researcher to design and conduct a quantified study of zoo animals. Observational research on behavior is emphasized, but we suggest ways these methods can be applied to the systematic collection of other data pertinent to zoo management.
